Look who’s coming!
10:45 am The Joe Clang Band/Catch 153
Brothers, Joe (rhythm guitar), Bob (lead guitar), and James Clang (percussion), bring their talent to our stage in a morning set! Together for over 30 years, the brothers are joined on stage by mother/son duo, Carolyn Lemmer (Vocals) and Jesse Lemmer (bass guitar/vocals) who are cousins to the Clang’s. Truly a family band, their music is all original, best described as contemporary and worshipful Christian music with a focus on praising God. The group has just released an album (our photo is their album cover)and performed at the inaugural Praise Fest in Kearney this year on July 23rd. They’ve renamed their group Catch 153, and promise to start your day with their upbeat, rock style, and a message that is sure to reverberate throughout the day!
11:25 am - Elaine Peacock!
An award-winning singer/songwriter, 2009 National Traditional Country Music Hall of Fame and 2010 South Dakota Country Music Hall of Fame inductee, Elaine Peacock offers a variety of music as she shares her joy in the Lord. Elaine has a talent sent straight from God! An angel with a voice that will touch your soul, Elaine will have you singing along and tapping your toes! Be blessed in her music!
12:05 pm - Cor Sanctum
Join us in welcoming back a great Omaha Group – Cor Sanctum. With us last year for the inaugural NCMF, they left such a great impression, we invited them back! We’re sure you’ll enjoy their easy style, through which emanates an apparent love for the Lord! Their all-acoustic instrumentation and their harmonies provide a most satisfying means of hearing the message they deliver. The photo is of their performance on our stage last year and we simply can’t wait to hear them again.
12:40 pm – Upper Room
Hailing from Omaha, Upper Room formed in 2009 in an attic! Teenagers Joe Becker (guitars and vocals), Michael Stevens (violin, guitars, and vocals), Joshua von Kampen (drums and percussion), and Quinlan Keller (vocals) seek a fresh approach while playing with a wide range and depth. The four play with joy and hope to give music a timeless quality. Upper Room performs original material as well as covers, always seeking to write and play songs that will glorify God and build up the Church with the motto, “Let us pursue what leads to peace!” (Romans 14:19)
1:15 pm – 2nd Mile
We’re happy to have with us again this year, 2nd Mile. Their terrific original music wowed us last year (and their tee shirts were great, too!) From Lincoln, the group is self-described as musicians with a passion for God and sharing his word, through worship, and music. Hang out with them at the festival!
1:55 pm – Southbound Fearing
From Toledo, OH, Southbound Fearing comes to us by way of Des Moine, IA, where they will be appearing on Friday night, August 5th. With a new album slated for release on August 2nd, the group promises talent unheard in this area! With an initial release, “Miles” making it to #17 on Billboard’s Christian Rock Chart, we’re sure you’re going to enjoy these guys!
2:40 pm – El Coro de la Santa Cruz
Our mid-afternoon entertainment will be another group of return guests from our inaugural event last year, El Coro de la Santa Cruz. Their Spanish rhythms and great harmonies will move your spirit in the universal language . . . the love of God!
3:20 pm – Chosen
Formed a year ago, Hastings’ very own Chosen brings a focus to recovery ministry through music. Band members, Brian Jordan, Tod McDaniel and Scot Lounsbury realized their musical talent through conversation just a year ago at the annual local event, Recovery in the Park. They can’t wait to bring our stage to life for the day; and we’ll get them back on stage later in the day for another stint. Get your day started right with Chosen! It’ll be better than eating your Wheaties!
3:55 pm – Accidental Proffitt
Coming to us from Omaha is Accidental Proffitt. Jonah Reuben is the driving force behind the music of Accidental Proffit. Using various R & B and Blues genres, Jonah & Accidental Proffit have a style reminiscent of Bob Dylan with a similar ability to draw out people’s emotions with their music. Jonah’s raspy vocals are hard to ignore as he brings his message of uncompromising devotion to God to the audience. Band members include Paul Koski on lead guitar, Gordon Kruse on bass, Mike Leonard on drums, and Jonah Reuben on guitar and lead vocals.
4:30 pm – SoJo Ministries
Sophia & Joe Yancey, Jr., are SoJo Ministries. Coming all the way from Delaware, this anointed husband and wife duo has committed to ministering through song for the Most High! Sophia and Joe Yancey, Jr. began this journey over 10 years ago when the Lord put them together and sowed a seed of music in their hearts creating what is now known as SoJo Ministries. Their style will grab your soul!
5:10 pm – Crossroads Worship Project
Tim Locatis, through his work at Crossroads Connnection in Omaha, found himself in the company of a group of individuals interested in spreading Good News to those in the Nebraska State Prison work release program through music. Together with John Fuller, Brad Whitman, and Curtis Huntley – the core of Crossroads Worship Project - the group performs all original songs. Their rock style will shake your soul. Don’t miss it!
5:50 pm – TorchBearer World Outreach
Back from last year with their great original repetoire, Dallas and Tanya Low, with their ministry, TorchBearer World Outreach, are sure to
reach the Spirit within. Excited about their forthcoming album (anticipated June 2011 – we’ll let you know when it’s released as soon as we’re able!) the duo is serving in music ministry at First Baptist Church in Hastings, NE.
Taking stage at 6:35 pm – Sarah Hart!

8:00 pm – we welcome John Schlitt!
With an amazing vocal range, John Schlitt began singing at the age of 5. By age 13 he’d connected to his first band, Vinegar Hills Hometown Band Something Different. His first professional gig was with the 70′s rock band, Head East. See his website for his conversion story, and join us in welcoming the lead singer for Petra, a four-time Grammy winner, and the winner of multiple Dove awards! While John is arguably one of the most powerful vocalists around, his mightiest cry is the cry of his heart. His music is a reflection of God’s love and redeeming power.
